GIS Business Specialist

Responsibilities:
The Roles of the GIS Database Administrator shall include, but not be limited to the following:
• Identify and collect GIS business requirements using interviews, groups sessions, case studies, research and feedback on current system functionality.
• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions.
• Gathering user needs and evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Plan and analyze business requirements via implementation of traceability matrix.
• Create business process flow diagrams for new product feature design.
• Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
• Participate with product development team to design user interfaces.
• Record detailed use cases for product feature design, development and QC.
• Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions.
• Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation.
• Prepares technical reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
• Assist in internal training and rollout activities.
• Support GIS-business testing and interface with QA.
• Observe current technology trends and make recommendations.
• Provide assistance with business analysis presentations to higher levels of management.
Requirements:
• 4 to 6 years' experience in GIS implementation.
• Skilled knowledge of GIS, Surveying, Geodesy, Remote sensing and other related technologies.
• Skills related to GIS Integration with major enterprise business systems.
• Skills in utilization of GIS technology and geospatial solutions.
• Professional knowledge of entire suite of latest GIS software including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Mobile platforms, functions & workflows.
• Experience in GIS for Oil & Gas Field desirable.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Earth Science, Information Systems, Engineering or similar field.
Generic & Specific Skills:
• Excellent Presentation and communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency English skills.
